Shadi Barraj’s journey began in 2003 when he studied pharmacy at the Lebanese International University (LIU) and worked at BCCI, introducing himself to the world of cosmetics. Barraj’s diligence, passion, and resolve manifested in 2009 when he became the chief pharmacist at Dallaa Hospital at the impressive age of 23, while also managing the clinical pharmacist and internal auditor roles just one year later. Working one-on-one with patients taught Barraj making every moment count –which lead him to establish Cicely Pharmacy in 2011, become the C.E.O. of BCCI in 2014, and launch its Egyptian branch in 2015. His pharmaceutical experiences additionally exposed him to dermatology, (specifically skin diseases), and pushed him to research and realize the limits of skincare and the need for more reliable cosmetic solutions. Barraj then broke boundaries when he launched BCCI’s prestigious Neogene Cosmetics and Fiora Cosmetics lines in Lebanon and Egypt in 2017. The cosmetic lines have gone on to transcend clients’ needs and expectations, redefine skincare, and compete with leading brands. Barraj’s pioneering drive for growth has become a trademark of his leadership. The imaginative visionary hopes to establish a pharmaceutical industry in the future.
